PLUS – Planning of Landscape and Urban Systems

In a paper recently published in Forest Ecology and Management, Ana Stritih and colleagues investigated the effects of land-use legacies and recent management on the susceptibility of mountain forests in Graubünden to natural disturbances.  

We are happy to announce that our paper "Assessing livelihood vulnerability using a Bayesian network: a case study in northern Laos” has been published in Ecology & Society.

In an article published this month in the journal Ecosystem Services, MRI co-PI Prof. Adrienne Grêt-Regamey and coauthor Bettina Weibel investigate the specific contribution of mountain areas to ecosystem services.

How do people perceive landscape changes? Measuring physiological reactions, this study demonstrates that people perceive landscape changes, induced through renewable energy systems not only explicitly but also unconsciously.

A new study investigates the effects of grassland management intensity on biodiversity and develops an intensification index which is projected on the landscape.

In October 2020 Benjamin joined the PLUS team. At PLUS he will undertake his PhD within the ValPar.CH project.

incolab brings innovations in technology and process design from the Landscape and Urban Systems Planning (PLUS) group into practice.

From 1^st August 2020 Sergio Wicki will be part of the PLUS team.  

PLUS is leading the steering group of the project ValPar.CH which deals with values of the ecological infrastructure in Swiss parks. PLUS is in charge of the steering group and the project management.
