Current Research

Enrico is PhD student within the HydroServ project which is part of the National Research Program NRP61 (Sustainable water management). His main goal is to develop a land use decision model to support decision-making, for example in case of implementation of new policy instruments. Three main subjects can be identified in Enrico’s work: land use modelling with Bayesian networks, development of innovative policy instruments to maintain or enhance the stock of ecosystem services provided (focus on payments for ecosystem services) and the influence of these instruments on regional development.
The study takes place in the Entlebuch region (canton of Lucerne, Switzerland).
