2008 Scientific Director of the Urban Planning Advisory Team (UPAT) for the Limmat Valley; in collaboration with ISOCARP (International Society of City and Regional Planners).
2008 Jury Chairman of the design competition: A New Chemistry Building for the University of Giessen; commissioned by the University of Giessen and the Ministries of Finance and Education and Science of the state of Hessen.
2007 – 2008 Chairman of the idea competition: Plan for Campus Development, Giessen – Using test plans for the structural and spatial development of the University of Giessen; commissioned by the University of Giessen in cooperation with the city of Giessen.
2007 – 2010 Scientific Head of the Federal Department of Spatial Planning’s model process of the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE) : "Raum+ Schwyz" (Space+ Schwyz). Create and maintain an Internet-based overview of the interior development of the canton of Schwyz in collaboration with the Cantonal Department of Planning Canton Schwyz and the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE).
2007 - 2010 Member of the Expert Advisory Board for the Regionale 2010 program between Cologne and Bonn; commissioned by the agency, Regional 2010, Cologne.
since 2007 Delegated Head of the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Spatial Planning at ETH Zurich for the two-year program for practising professionals.
